Full Release Arrived August 5, 2026

NPC Studio announced August 5, 2026 as the Fields of Mistria 1.0 release date. The full release launched on Windows PC through Steam. This date is supported by the official announcement and release notes rather than a retailer placeholder.

Version 1.0 completes major systems that ended at Early Access boundaries. Official notes cover Town Repair completion, Town Rank progression to Rank 100, museum completion, and relationships through proposals, weddings, marriage, and children. The separate Version 1.0 guide organizes those changes by system.

The release date does not confirm a console port. The official FAQ says the developer is focused on PC and will evaluate potential ports later. Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and other console dates remain unannounced.

Early Access Began August 5, 2024

Fields of Mistria entered Steam Early Access on August 5, 2024. The 1.0 date therefore arrived two years after that public Early Access launch. Older guides written during this period can describe systems or caps that the full release later changed.

Early Access saves are supported in 1.0. The official FAQ says all existing saves carry over and can access the new content regardless of prior progress. A returning player should update and load the established save before deciding whether a fresh start is personally desirable.

Eligible Steam achievements are also retroactive. Loading an existing save allows stored progress to be recognized where it meets an achievement’s requirements. This avoids repeating completed work solely because the platform achievement system arrived later.

Follow the Patch Timeline

Version 1.0.0 established the full-release feature set on August 5. Patch 1.0.1 followed with the first official maintenance changes. Each version has its own developer note and should remain distinguishable in the update history.

Patch 1.0.2 was published on August 11, 2026 and is the current version covered by this site. Its official notes include quality-of-life work, bug and crash fixes, new hairstyles, overlay performance improvements, added translations, and a Shooting Star Festival softlock fix. Install the newest patch available through Steam before troubleshooting an older report.

A future patch should update the current label without rewriting the historical release date. August 5 remains the 1.0 milestone even when the installed version advances. This keeps the timeline accurate and prevents maintenance dates from being reported as another full launch.

Separate Availability from Price

The official 1.0 FAQ said the price would not rise with the full-release update. This page does not publish a fixed store price because regional amounts and promotions can change. Check Steam directly for the current price in the user’s region.

Availability is currently Windows PC through Steam with Steam Deck compatibility. That statement comes from the official FAQ and store page. It should not be broadened to consoles until NPC Studio makes a platform announcement.

The full release also introduced beta localizations, with later patches continuing translation work. A language update can happen independently from a platform launch. Check the Steam listing for current interface and subtitle availability.

Use the Right Timeline Page

Use this page when the question is “When did Fields of Mistria release?” Use the Version 1.0 page when the question is what changed, and the Updates page for the current patch and official fix notes. The Platforms page answers PC, Steam Deck, and console-status queries.

Keeping these intents separate prevents one page from becoming a repetitive patch archive. Each page links to the others, but its direct answer remains focused. The release-date answer is August 5, 2026 for version 1.0 on Windows PC.

Future dates will be added only when supported by a Tier A announcement. Rumors, wishlists, and community expectations remain excluded. That policy avoids invented console dates and keeps the visible timeline aligned with the developer’s published record.

The official release sequence also provides a useful troubleshooting boundary. A report written before August 5 may describe Early Access behavior, while an issue discussed between 1.0.0 and 1.0.2 may already have an official correction. Compare the report date and game version before following its workaround.

Keep automatic Steam updates enabled when possible and confirm the installed version from the game or store client. If the number is older than the current official patch, update before testing the problem again. This simple check prevents old behavior from being mistaken for the present full-release state.

The timeline contains only publicly confirmed milestones. It does not estimate the next major update, downloadable content, or port. Those dates will remain absent until the developer publishes them.
