Unlock Donations and Meet the Curator
The Museum sits west of Mistria in The Narrows and is run by Errol. Donation access is tied to the Museum Donations Wanted story quest, so arriving at the building is not the same as having every collection function available. Follow the quest text and complete its introduction before planning around donations.
The Museum supports both collection progress and wider town progression. Eligible donations can provide rewards and Renown, making a first copy more valuable than its immediate shipping price in many situations. Check donation status before selling an unfamiliar fish, bug, crop, flower, or artifact.
Version 1.0 makes Museum completion part of the full-release game. Older references may still describe missing items from an Early Access build, so their availability warnings should not override the official completion statement. Use current in-game collection screens and versioned sources when identifying a specific remaining entry.
Organize the Four Wings
The Museum is divided into Archaeology, Flora, Insects, and Fish wings. Each wing contains themed sets rather than one undifferentiated checklist. This structure lets a player choose a practical search target based on the current season, location, weather, or activity.
Flora covers plant-related collections, while Fish and Insects use their own catchable categories. Archaeology contains artifacts uncovered across Mistria and the Mines. Keep storage or personal notes grouped by wing so a new find can be checked quickly before it is used elsewhere.
Exact set totals and item counts can change with major updates, so they belong in a current database rather than permanent prose. The stable workflow is to open the relevant wing, identify the incomplete set, and search for its missing entry with a verified location reference. This prevents a stale total from making the whole guide misleading.
Identify and Donate Artifacts
Archaeology skill increases as artifacts are uncovered around Mistria and the Mines. Dig spots can appear on different terrain types, and tools such as the shovel or pickaxe are used to recover finds. A newly found artifact can initially be unidentified.
Hold the interact action to identify an unidentified artifact before using it. Identification is required before the item can be donated, gifted, or sold, so it belongs at the start of the routing decision. Do not ship a mystery item simply because its eventual set is not yet visible.
After identification, compare the artifact with the Archaeology wing. Donate a needed first copy, then evaluate duplicates for other supported uses. This order advances collections without making the unsupported claim that every artifact duplicate should always be sold.
Claim Set Rewards and Renown
Museum rewards are connected to completed sets and broader wing progress. The structured reference records that rewards are determined by the number of sets completed within a wing rather than by one arbitrary sale value. Claim and review each reward before planning the next collection target.
Donations also contribute to Renown, which supports Town Rank. The Museum therefore connects exploration, fishing, bug catching, farming, and archaeology to civic progression. A day that adds a missing entry can advance more than the visible collection percentage.
Avoid publishing a complete reward table without checking it against the current full-release version. Reward lists are precise numeric and item data, so they require a maintained structured dataset. This hub explains where the rewards come from and keeps individual values in the source reference.
Build a Safe Collection Routine
At the end of a route, separate new finds from known duplicates. Identify artifacts, check Museum status, protect active quest items, and only then move genuine surplus to storage or shipping. This brief routine prevents accidental loss without requiring a complicated spreadsheet.
Use seasons and planned locations to choose the next wing focus. Farming naturally produces Flora candidates, fishing routes support the Fish wing, and Mines visits can support Archaeology. Combining a collection search with an existing goal is more efficient than crossing the map for a single unverified spawn claim.
When one entry remains unclear, consult the current structured page for that set rather than guessing a name, weather condition, or location. If reliable current evidence cannot establish the missing detail, leave it out until confirmed. The Museum hub remains useful because its central workflow and four-wing structure are verified.
